The total number of vacancies is 1600.

1. Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant
2. Data Entry Operator.
Salary/Pay and Grade Pay – For lower division clerk and junior secretariat assistant posts, the payable salary will be Rs 19,900 – 63,200and for the data entry operator post, the payable salary will be Rs 25,500 – 81,100 per month. Educational Qualifications – Candidates must have done 12th or it’s equivalent/ relevant/ higher qualification from a recognized board or university.
Selection Method – For recruitment in the Staff Selection Commission SSC CHSL 2023, the candidate will be selected on the basis of their performance in the online computer-based exam, skill test and then a personal interview. Candidates must be prepared for these tests.
Syllabus/ Exam Criteria – The computer-based exam for SSC CHSL will consist of the following subjects –
TIER 1
- General Intelligence (50 Marks, 25 Questions)
- General Awareness (50 Marks, 25 Questions)
- Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks, 25 Questions)
- English Language (50 Marks, 25 Questions).
The total duration of the TIER 1 exam will be 60 minutes. The total number of questions will be 100 and the total marks will be 200. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for one wrong answer. The medium for examination will be Hindi and English.
TIER 2
- Mathematical Abilities (30 Questions, 90 Marks)
- Reasoning and General Intelligence (30 Questions, 90 Marks)
- English Language and Comprehension (40 Questions, 120 Marks)
- General Awareness (20 Questions, 60 Marks)
- Computer Knowledge Module (15 Questions, 45 Marks)
- Skill Test/ Typing Test.
The total duration of the TIER 2 exam will be 150 minutes. The total number of questions will be 135 and the total marks will be 405. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for one wrong answer. The medium for examination will be Hindi and English.
Work Experience – No further work experience is required for these posts. Fresher candidates and candidates with no experience can also apply for this recruitment.
